Black history week

Class: Year 3 Year: 2015 - 2016

This week we have been learning about how the brave actions of Rosa Parks helped to change the segregation laws in America. The children have really engaged with Rosa Parks' story and have been very vocal in expressing their belief that all people should be treated equally. We thought about how we are all different, then we did some role play where we investigated how it might feel to be discriminated against because of our differences e.g. Eye colour, height, gender. The children all agreed that it feels pretty horrible and very unjust! Have a look at the pictures below.
