Our vets topic.

Lesson: EYFS

Class: Reception Year: 2018 - 2019

This term in Reception our topic is the Vets. We have created our very own veterinary surgery in our classroom called 'Animal Hospital'. As part of this topic we were very lucky to be invited to the Village Vets in Formby, where we had the opportunity to meet the staff who work there and find out what happens in a real vets. Since our visit we have been busy writing some super sentences all about it. We have also had a visitor in our classroom.... Miss Larsen's pet tortoise. We discussed some interesting facts about the tortoise, how to look after one and what they like to eat. We took turns having a feel of his shell and described what it felt like. We are all really enjoying this topic so far, and look forward to welcoming some more special visitors during this topic.
