Mental Health & Well-Being

At St Jerome's Primary School, we aim to promote positive mental health and well-being for our whole school community; pupils, staff, parents and carers. We recognise how important mental health and emotional well-being is to our lives in just the same way as physical health. Children's mental health is a crucial factor in their overall well-being and can affect their learning and achievement. All children go through ups and downs during their school career and some face significant life events.

If you are concerned about the mental health and well-being of your child please speak to your child's teacher.

Below are some links to key organisations offering professional and confidential help.

Kooth - provides online support for children aged 10 onwards.

YPAS - Offer support and therapeutic services for children aged 5-15 years and their families.

Parenting 2000 - offers emotional and practical support and guidance for children, young people and their families.

Please also see the 'Safeguarding' page for further links that may be useful.

The Sefton well-being toolkit gives detailed information about all the mental health and well being services available in Sefton.
