Science experiment

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 3 Year: 2019 - 2020

We conducted an experiment to discover why we need to use soap to wash our hands.

We put pepper (to represent the germs) in a bowl of water and put our hands in the water. The pepper was on our fingers and was difficult to remove. However, when we put soap on our finger and put our finger in the water we noted how the pepper dispersed away from the soap - and our fingers!

Our findings were that water alone does not remove germs but using soap is very effective.
