Catholic Social Teaching
At the heart of everything we do in St Jerome's is Catholic Social Teaching. Catholic Social Teaching (CST) is rooted in Scripture, formed by the wisdom of Church leaders, and influenced by grassroots movements. It is our moral compass, guiding us on how to live out our faith in the world. CST is a body of teaching rooted in the principles and values of the Catholic faith that provides a moral framework for students to engage with key social issues and the world around them. It aims to help students understand their roles and responsibilities in promoting justice, peace, and the dignity of all people, especially the poor and marginalised in society.
Have a look at the CAFOD posters below which explain each of the principles.

How to get involved with CAFOD – Live Simply
Whether you donate, campaign, download prayers or volunteer, you are saving lives and helping to ensure that no-one is beyond reach of the love and care they need.
At St Jerome’s, we regularly support CAFOD by raising the profile through our charitable work and by praying for all those that need our care.
We are also really pleased to be working towards achieving the CAFOD Live Simply Award:
What is Mission Together?
