Our Prayers

"I will lift up my hands in prayer to the Lord." (Exodus 9:29)

Prayer is an integral part of our daily school life. Through prayer, we can communicate with God and raise our hearts and minds to Him. We can give praise and thanks to Him for the great things He has given us, we can ask forgiveness or we can request good things from Him.

Morning prayer

Oh my God I give to you all that I think and say and do,

All my work and all my play,

I will give to God today.

Amen

Lunch time prayer

Lord, we thank you for what we are about to receive

Amen

Home time prayer

Thank you Jesus for today,

For all the things we have done together.

From my head to my heart, from this shoulder to this shoulder,

I belong to God our Father,

Amen

Key Stage Two: Years 3 - 6

Lunch time prayer

Bless us, oh Lord

and these Thy gifts

which we are about to receive

from your bounty

Through Christ our Lord

Amen

Home time Prayer

Dearest loving Jesus

Help up to be good

To do the things

And say the things

That all good children should

And if I sometimes slip a bit

And do get out of hand

Then dearest loving Jesus

Help the grown-ups understand

That it isn’t always easy

To be as good as good can be

But I am getting better Lord

Because you are helping me
