School Board of Governors

The Governors are an important part of St.Jerome's Catholic Primary School.

The Governing body holds 6 full meetings per year. Governors also take on link roles and serve on committees.

The role of a governor is strategic rather than operational. This means they do not get involved in the day to day running of the school. Instead, they support and challenge the school's leadership team to drive improvement.

The board has three key functions:

1.Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure the money is well spent

2. Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its' pupils

3. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
